It is YOUR Community Hub, and we want YOUR ideas. What would you like to see in the Hub? What events, what activities, what information? What do you think we can do better? What do you think we should do more of?

What do you think is needed in the area to connect the community? What do you think the community needs?

How can we work with the community by going out into the community? Are you a space, or a group working in Bro Ddyfi, and would you like to work with the Taj Mahal Community Hub? We are looking for partners and projects for the future.

Your Hub Survey

The Taj Mahal Community Hub has been open for a year now, and we continue to open our doors to more people. We will be opening for more hours in 2024 and into 2025, including our new evening opening on Wednesday until 7PM.

We have also just completed the refurbishment of the kitchen, and are currently equipping it. It will be the first community kitchen in Machynlleth. We are keen to ensure that the kitchen is used for the benefit of the community, and would like to hear how you think we can best do that! We have now signed a five year lease for the space to ensure its future, and this year we will be exploring ways to buy the building to ensure it stays as a community asset for the future.

Our ethos has always been to support the community, to create new activities and events that are not already available, to avoid competing with other businesses and spaces in the area, to connect what we do with other spaces, places, and organisations, and to create connections throughout the various communities in the Dyfi area. Above all, we want to create a welcoming, accessible, affordable space that allows people to connect and reconnect with their communities.

This year we want to connect with more people and communities in Machynlleth and across Bro Ddyfi, and as such we are reaching out to ask you for your ideas, thoughts, and feedback on what we should do in the future.
